First Communion

 

Child must have reached the age of reason (around 7 yrs old). Their must be at least a two year FAMILY PARTICIPATION in Sunday Mass. You must live in the Parish Boundaries or be an active registered parishioner

Registrations are during the month August.   

You must bring:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal Certificate 
  • Parishioner Registration Envelope
  • Transfer letter if coming from another parish.
  • Donation   
  • On-going Religious Education classes after receiving First Holy Communion, $25 per family.  

There is a 2 year minimum requirement of SUNDAY MASS PARTICIPATION in order to receive sacraments of Communion or Confirmation. Our Active parishioners who have three or more years of frequent mass participation with us (unfortunately the only way to determine this is by ENVELOPE USE); may be invited by the pastor and his team to receive their sacraments when parents and pastor determine. 

 

Parent Requirements

 

This is the commitment that is required of all families:

  1. Attend mass every Sunday and Days of Obligation.
  2. Participate in all the activities of our Gospel Weeklies.
  3. Children must attend all gatherings on time. Only 3 absences are allowed with a written excuse.
  4. Parents/ God-parents are responsible for helping their child complete Sunday Gospel reflections.
  5. Children must be prepared with their required Catholic Faith book. There will be quarterly evaluations of child's participation and openess to Christ.
  6. All parents must keep in contact with their child’s Catechistst; Be aware of your childs' development and any issues that may arise.  
  7. Attend all meetings that you are required to attend. 
  8. Continue to follow Christ and attend mass after the reception of the sacraments are completed!
